3 - Pasha News - "Celebration of new look"
The Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Jo Hodges,
officially opened the 'new look' Pasha on Tuesday
28 March 2000. The event had a dual purpose - it
was also a fund raising exercise organised to
help the rebuiliding of homes in Mozambique.
During the proceedings, Councillor Hodges also
unveiled a new Pasha speciality dish named 'Machli
Changa' - an authentic fish and vegetable dish
which hails from the Bay of Bengal.
The Pasha, established in 1987, has long been
a popular choice for discerning diners seeking
the finest quality Indian cuisine. The restaurant
once known for it's tenting has recently undergone
a radical facelift!!
Cool mauve, turquoise and silver provide the
backdrop for vibrant blocks of colour projecting
from suspended dividers. A remodelled bar area
provides a welcoming environment for customers
and the restaurant has a much lighter and brighter
feel - it is certainly worth a visit!
The management and staff at Pasha would like
to say thank you to all who attended on the night
and those who made donations.
A Word from the Architects...
Commenting on the background to the new look,
Architect Troy Kidsley said: "The brief asked
for a 'modern look' to take Pasha into the 21st
Century. To fulfil this request, myself and Mark
Rudd researched similar contemporary restaurants,
bars and clubs from London to Brimingham and
the result is a fresh and vibrant environment
that echoes this trend and establishes Pasha
as a force in modern Indian cuisine.
We would like to take this opportunity along
with Mark Lammas at BRD Contracts in Bromsgrove,
to thank the owners for asking us to design and
construct this new image and wish the Pasha many
years continued success."
